Pornhub is the best-known free porn tube: a huge mix of studio clips and verified amateur uploads, free with ads, plus an optional ad-free Premium tier. Since late 2020 only verified uploaders can post, and it is geo-blocked in many US states and closed to new UK users.
What it is
Pornhub is owned by Aylo (formerly MindGeek), which also runs YouPorn and RedTube. The library mixes studio clips and trailers with amateur videos from its Model Program creators. Search, categories and playlists are strong, and most clips are short.
Uploads and verification
In December 2020, after press reports of abusive content, Pornhub removed millions of videos from unverified accounts. Today only verified creators can upload, so the catalog is smaller than before.
Free vs Premium
Watching is free with ads. Premium removes ads and adds HD/4K and exclusive videos; it is commonly listed at about $9.99 a month in the US (check the live price at checkout, taxes may apply). Downloads are limited to Premium or to videos where the creator allows them.
Ads and account
Ads are moderate for a free tube, with fewer aggressive redirects than smaller sites. No account is needed to watch; a free account adds favorites and playlists.
Access limits
As of mid-2026 Aylo blocks Pornhub in about 25 US states with age-verification laws (Texas, Florida, Virginia and others; Louisiana uses state ID instead). Since February 2026 new UK visitors cannot get in.
Mobile
The mobile site is clean and fast; there is no official app in the main app stores.
Who it suits
Anyone who wants a large, searchable, moderated free library and is located where the site is open.
