Sakura.fm

Sakura.fm is a community character chat site in the same space as SpicyChat and JanitorAI. You pick a character someone else built, or make your own, and chat or roleplay with it. It pulls roughly 1.5 to 2 million visits a month, mostly from the US.

What you get

A big library of user-made characters sorted by tags like anime, games, fantasy and horror, plus a simple creator so you can build or import your own. Chats keep running memory and you can regenerate replies until one fits.

Adult content

NSFW is opt-in. You switch on Show NSFW (18+) in settings to see mature characters and chats, and explicit text roleplay is allowed. It is a text chat site first, so don't expect nude image generation. Content involving minors, non-consent, incest, bestiality and some other themes is banned, and an automated filter can occasionally flag a message.

Pricing

Free accounts get three models and a daily message limit that isn't published. Diamond is $19 a month or $131.99 a year for unlimited messages and the better Dragonfruit model. Infinite is $39 a month or $274.99 a year and adds the top model with images in replies and longer memory. There's also a free Sage route where you earn extra messages by joining their Discord and doing social media tasks.

Who it suits

Good if you like character roleplay with a big community library and want explicit text without paying first. Less ideal if you want an AI girlfriend that sends nude pics or you hate daily caps.
